Jim Avary

 

Jim joined the NSP Nov 1968 and was stationed in  McCook in traffic untill Jan 1974 when he transferred to Omaha in the drug division, Jan 1978 promoted to corporal and transferred to North Platte. Jan 1980 promoted to Sergeant and transferred back to Omaha in the criminal division, July 1986 transferred to the Liquor division. 1993 & 94 Liquor division coordinator. Retired Nov 30, 1994. Founded Enforcement Officer Services a security and fingerprinting company in 1987 and operates it now.

 
Paul Smoot
 
Paul is a certified law enforcement officer.  In the last 18 years, Paul has served in the Carrier Enforcement, Traffic, Drug, Criminal and Liquor divisions.  Paul is currently a liquor investigator.  Paul has instructed numerous classes dealing with responsible alcohol sales.  Paul's current duties include conducting background investigations for liquor applications, conducting investigations for violations of the liquor control act, conducting compliance checks for alcohol and tobacco.
